Description

One Pot Creamy Spicy Garlic Butter Steak & Pasta – Deliciously comforting dish with succulent steak, spicy garlic butter, and creamy pasta sauce. Perfect for a quick and crowd-pleasing dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) sirloin or ribeye steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 8 oz (225g) fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 4 tablespoons (56g) butter, divided
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1 small onion, finely diced (about 1 cup)
  • 12 teaspoons red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup (240ml) chicken broth
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
  • ½ cup (50g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Steak Season your thinly sliced steak generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large, deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat until it’s sizzling hot. Add the steak strips in a single layer (work in batches if needed) and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until they develop a beautiful brown crust but remain slightly pink inside. Transfer the steak to a plate and cover loosely with foil to keep warm.
  2. Step 2: Create the Flavor Base Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the same pot. Add the diced onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring constantly for 30 seconds until fragrant. This aromatic foundation will infuse your entire One Pot Creamy Spicy Garlic Butter Steak & Pasta with incredible flavor.
  3. Step 3: Cook the Pasta Pour the chicken broth into the pot, using a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom – that’s pure flavor! Add 1½ cups of water and bring to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions minus 2 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. The pasta will continue cooking in the sauce, absorbing all those amazing flavors.
  4. Step 4: Create the Creamy Sauce When the pasta is almost tender but still slightly firm, reduce heat to medium-low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir continuously as the sauce begins to thicken, about 2-3 minutes. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and incorporated into the creamy sauce. Your kitchen should now be filled with the irresistible aroma of garlic butter pasta with steak.
  5. Step 5: Bring It All Together Return the seared steak and any accumulated juices to the pot. Gently fold everything together, allowing the steak to warm through and the flavors to meld for about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley. Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or red pepper flakes if desired. The pasta should be perfectly al dente and coated in the luxurious spicy garlic cream sauce, while the steak remains tender and juicy.
