Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 green bell peppers, diced
  • 8 mushrooms, diced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Step 1- Brown the Beef
    Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain the fat and then add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce to the cooked beef. Cook over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed. Add salt and pepper if desired. Remove the meat from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Step 2- Cook the Veggies
    Add the olive oil to the skillet and heat for a minute over medium heat before adding the veggies. Cook them for about 5-6 minutes or until softened. Add the beef back in and mix everything together.
  3. Step 3– Serve the Philly Cheesesteak Bowls
    Option 1: Divide the hot meat mixture into 4 servings and place a slice of cheese on each bowl to melt.
    Option 2: Leave everything in the skillet and place sliced provolone evenly over the meat. This melts the cheese faster, then divide into servings as desired.
