Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 green bell peppers, diced
- 8 mushrooms, diced
- 4 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- Step 1- Brown the Beef
Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain the fat and then add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce to the cooked beef. Cook over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed. Add salt and pepper if desired. Remove the meat from the skillet and set aside. - Step 2- Cook the Veggies
Add the olive oil to the skillet and heat for a minute over medium heat before adding the veggies. Cook them for about 5-6 minutes or until softened. Add the beef back in and mix everything together. - Step 3– Serve the Philly Cheesesteak Bowls
Option 1: Divide the hot meat mixture into 4 servings and place a slice of cheese on each bowl to melt.
Option 2: Leave everything in the skillet and place sliced provolone evenly over the meat. This melts the cheese faster, then divide into servings as desired.
